In 2014, Chris founded McCabe Law, LLC. Today, Chris is one of the most experienced and well-regarded cannabis law attorneys in the country and serves clients locally and worldwide. Chris' practice focuses exclusively and intensely on cannabis law and policy in Maine.
Chris works with businesses, investors, and governments involved or interested in the blossoming medical marijuana, adult-use (a.k.a. recreational) marijuana, and hemp industries. Chris handles cannabis-related projects in compliance, policy analysis, real estate, business growth, state licensing, and local government permitting.
Chris is a Founding Member of the National Cannabis Bar Association and serves on the legal panel for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).
Chris earned his J.D., Cum Laude from the University of Maine School of Law where he was Articles Editor for the Maine Law Review and a member of the Maine Association of Public Interest Law (MAPIL).
Chris earned his B.A. in Economics and Theater from Bowdoin College where he earned the Lydia Bell Award for Public Leadership.
Chris is admitted to the bars of Maine and Massachusetts.
